Job Description

Position Summary

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role serves as a leader for change management and new initiatives (products) within the organization. This individual will aid in the ideation, analysis, and execution of projects aimed at growing the company. The types of projects may range from measures to achieve operational excellence, gain efficiency, and bring new offerings to market. This role interfaces regularly with Finance, Sales, Operations, and Manufacturing. New products will include lines of business, manufactured products, and services.


Essential Job Functions

  • Coordinating internal and external activities related to new product initiatives.
  • Bring discipline and rigor to the Go/No Go process, launch planning, and launch phases for new initiatives.
  • Direct discovery, pre-positioning, differentiation, and delivery strategies for major transformative programs.
  • Lead new product initiatives through concept, start-up, on-boarding, launch, and deployment.
  • Create and/or edit documentation, FAQ’s, and training materials related to new initiatives.
  • Partner with Sales leadership to acquire new strategic customers.
  • Establish and execute business development objectives, strategies, and tactics to support the delivery of the organizational growth objectives.
  • Lead regular meetings to create clarity and alignment for departmental personnel regarding shifts in organizational priorities. Ensure delivery against key initiatives.
  • Responsible for the organizational understanding, adherence, and execution of initiative parameters.
  • Responsible for P&L management around business development initiatives.
  • Conduct value assessment(s) post-project, confirming achievement of the initial financial metrics outlined.
  • Prepare and manage a forecast to optimize purchasing, production, and inventory on new initiatives.
  • Responsible for the creation and coordination of standard project management deliverables including (but not all-encompassing) the following: Project Charter & Milestone Timelines, Project Budgeting, Project RACI, Kickoff and Status Meetings.
  • Inspire and maintain a culture of high performance and accountability through clear milestones.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)

  • Significant experience in sales and business development, project management (PMO certification desired), contract negotiation, portfolio management, and cross-functional engagement and management.
  • Demonstrated ability to creatively approach challenges and opportunities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented, highly motivated, self-starter with relentless determination.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and PLM tools.
  • Significant experience in consumer-packaged goods industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with efficiency and accuracy.
