Director, IT Support US

In your role, you will lead, assist and be accountable for our workplace tech support team supporting our 150+ team members in our Los Angeles office and over 400 total users across our US offices. This is a “hands-on” position and will interact with our Executive teams as well as day to day office activities. You will have responsibility for providing technical guidance of the corresponding US offices in NY, Nashville and LA.


The IT Director will be responsible for the overall strategy, planning, and execution of all core IT functions. We’re searching for someone with a passion for supporting the people on their team as well as developing the organization. Ultimately, the IT Director will need to put the infrastructure and processes into place in order to improve the overall support experience at BMG.


The IT Director will plan, coordinate, direct and design IT related activities of the organization, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the IT department. You will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. The Director of IT will also define and implement IT policies, procedures and best practices.


What You’ll Be Doing.

  • Responsible for monitoring, alerting and maintaining workplace services (including the design and implementation of a mature event management solution)
  • Assist in support of executive board members and their offices and be readily available for hands-on support when necessary
  • Assist in security incident management
  • Oversee and assist in day-to-day support of approx. 400 end users in the US and over 1000 globally
  • Maintain and support local infrastructure and play a lead role in global infrastructure projects
  • Assist in leading an employee facing IT support organization inspired to achieve the highest levels of customer service and employee satisfaction
  • Help define and execute the strategy for all of BMG’s IT functions, ensuring successful adoption of technologies across BMG, while also focusing on security and automating processes.
  • Support PC and Mac patching, deployments, software packaging/updating and take part in testing and rollout processes and configuration of devices
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and threats; proactively assess and evaluate the adoption thereof into the organization
  • Own all IT functions, including Service Desk, O365, Okta, MDM, AV, networking and corporate applications
  • Responsible for monitoring, alerting and maintaining workplace services (including the design and implementation of a mature event management solution)
  • Understand enterprise application estate (managed by enterprise tech team) and manage touchpoints (e.g., user management)


About You.

  • You have experience hiring, managing and leading other IT professionals.
  • You have hands-on experience in support executives and staff with their laptops, desktops and mobile devices.
  • You lead by example and have managed a small-medium sized team of workplace support engineers.
  • You have shown the ability to prioritize (and deprioritize) work effectively.
  • You have proven track record of maturing and automating IT systems and processes.
  • You have experience in managing audio-visual equipment.
  • You have experience with managing Office365, Jamf, SCCM, Okta, Cisco and Juniper or equivalents.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects with a track record of managing priorities, deadlines and deliverables
  • You have experience managing external vendors, procurement and budgets.
  • You are a good communicator and you’re comfortable adjusting your communication to different character types.
  • You appreciate continuous learning and having an impact.
  • You can manage project deliverables and responsibilities, vendor selection, contract negotiation, budgets, and will be the lead subject matter expertise on all company IT services.


It’s a plus if you have completed a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or similar.

Pay Range

$80,000 - $110,000 per annum

The pay range listed above is dependent upon factors such as work experience, qualifications and business needs. In addition to the range above, this role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and applicable benefits
