Role: Director of Renewables, Building Solutions

Salary: $130K - $175K + bonus

Location: NYC or Fort Washington, PA

Our client works in the exciting world of Logistics Real Estate. They're portfolio encompasses half a billion square feet in dynamic markets world wide. They are looking for a Director of Renewables, Building Solutions to oversee activities related to solar development, battery deployments and other emerging renewable energy generating technologies. Part real estate, part finance, and part engineering.

Responsibilities

• Redesign the company's renewables program in a way that benefits the company and increases efficiency.
• Meet often with relevant departments to discuss their understanding of and/or suggestions for improving the policies and procedures.
• Work with other departments to find ways to offer the company's current practical renewable products to support their sustainability team and to find developing technology for programmes in the future.
• Serve as the main point of contact for inquiries regarding renewables, regular reporting, training, and the interpretation and alignment of policy and procedure by all departments.
• Set short-term and long-term departmental goals, have the conviction to explain them, and put them into action in order to achieve defined environmental and sustainability objectives.
• Create a training strategy, standardized operating procedures, and performance indicators for renewable energy sources.

Qualifications

• BA or BS in relevant field of study (Engineering, Real Estate, Business Management or similar)
• Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics
• History of creating value through the implementation of sustainability initiatives
• Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal; excellent active listening skills
• Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience
