Due to their ever-expanding portfolio and urgency to drive the global energy transition, this has created the demand for a Senior Investment Director
The Role
As the Senior Investment Director, you play a pivotal role in the company’s growth by working closely with executive management and be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities in the renewable energy sector whilst managing a local team; this will consist of activities such as:
- Manage internal and external advisors during due diligence process.
- Conduct risk analysis and implement risk mitigation actions.
- Manage and enhance relationships with portfolio companies, providing strategic guidance and support.
- Report to the CIO
- Develop and execute investment strategies.
- Originate, evaluate, structure, and execute investment opportunities across national & international markets.
- Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments to shape and optimise investment strategies and decisions.
- Lead a small team of investment professionals who will support your projects.
- Structure and negotiate complex transactions and contracts.
The Person
The successful candidate will likely have:
- Proven track record of successfully leading renewable energy investments.
- Hands-on, ambitious, hungry for growth, and constantly striving for excellence.
- 6+ years’ work experience directly in Private Equity, Investment Management, or M&A of renewable energy assets.
- Strong experiences in negotiations, internal and external communication / relationship building.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration or other related.
