Digital Operations Associate Jobs

Movement Labs is a not-for-profit movement incubator and the leading SMS political consultancy supporting progressives and grassroots activists nationwide. Our clients span both establishment and movement efforts, from senior Democratic Congressional leadership to Black Lives Matter. Since 2017, we've sent more than 500 million text messages to support grassroots organizing, recruit candidates to run for office, and help those candidates win.
Movement Labs focuses on finding new ways to use technology and an army of volunteers to fill gaps and achieve tangible outcomes to build power for marginalized communities and progressive movements. We rapidly incubate ideas, train volunteers and deploy teams for our clients. Our projects focus on experimenting and sharing learnings for growth optimization and improved communications strategies.
We’re seeking a talented Operations Associate to join the team that executes our digital campaigns. You will support our nationwide network of volunteer texters, helping them answer questions from voters. You’ll build campaigns in Spoke and monitor our peer-to-peer texting platform, ensuring a reliable user experience for our volunteers. You will work with voter file data. You will aid in the rollout of new services, including digital ads, live calls, voicemail drops, email, and more. You’re comfortable with detail-oriented work, love working with volunteers, and like to solve problems where you see them and help where needed. This opportunity is remote and full time.
Responsibilities:

• Constantly look for ways to make our processes more efficient without sacrificing quality.
• Support volunteer texters. Answer questions about ongoing campaigns and how to use Spoke.
• Assist in the process development and rollout of new digital services, such as digital ads, email, etc.
• Monitor ongoing texting in Spoke to ensure timely execution of our campaigns.
• Build texting campaigns in the Spoke platform, coordinating with Sales and Programs to maintain timelines.
• Work with large data files of voter file contact universes for use with texting campaigns.

Requirements

• High technical competence with data and spreadsheets
• An understanding of campaigns and organizing
• Passion for uplifting the work of progressive activists, organizations and candidates
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• SQL experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and regularly communicate status updates
• Experience managing phone banks preferred
• Demonstrated detail orientation
• Experience serving digital ads preferred
• Ability to communicate clearly, directly, and patiently
• Remote experience preferred
• Comfort using peer-to-peer texting programs and digital organizing tools

Benefits
This role is a full-time position with access to benefits, including healthcare, dental and vision plans, with an annual starting salary of $50k. Movement Labs also offers a 401k plan, a technology stipend, and paid vacation time. This position is considered In-Unit with IBEW Local 2325, and is covered by a collective bargaining agreement This position is entirely remote.
