Macy’s Media Network is looking for a dynamic self-starter to join our growing team. The Digital Media Planner will be responsible for putting together strategic advertising plans on behalf of our advertising clients / vendor partners. Plans will span across all media offerings: onsite, offsite, social, PLAs, with a focus on optimizing the media mix for campaign effectiveness. The Media Planner’s main internal client is the Sales / Account team – we are partners in revenue. This is a unique opportunity to work in an entrepreneurial environment (brand new offering in the market, small and nimble team) with the resources, organizational support and existing vendor relationships of an industry leader.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to manage media mix with a focus on performance and margin management
- Ability to plan across all media offerings: onsite, programmatic, social, sponsored products, etc
- Potential role to help manage a small team of media strategists as the team grows
- Development of thoughtful, innovative and strategic media plans for advertisers based on a deep understanding of Macy’s onsite/off site offerings, thorough knowledge of the advertisers objectives/KPIs and within the framework of the business rules
- Partner with Ad Operations counterparts to ensure plans are integrated and executed appropriately
- Maintenance of and adherence to the rate card with an eye on yield management
- Ensure plans are rooted in analysis, insights and best practices
Requirements:
- Ability to function both independently and as part of a team
- High level of proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint
- Strong analytic, strategic and problem solving skills
- Ability to thrive and be resourceful in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in digital media tools such as GAM, DV360, Facebook, MediaMath, Nielsen @Plan, ComScore, etc. a plus
- 3 years minimum experience working within a digital media environment
- Proven ability to manage relationships (both internal and external)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Working knowledge of CRM software such as Salesforce
- Proven organizational skills and flawless attention to detail
- Knowledge of the terminology and mechanics of the online advertising industry; knowledge of retail media is a plus
