What you’ll do:

This is for an additional growth of the Distributed Computing Desktop Engineering role within the Systems Infrastructure department in Technology. You will work in a fast-paced team environment supporting our Trading floor, middle, and back-office users.

The position will be primarily located in the New York office, with time also being spent in the White Plains office.

We are looking for a Distributed Computing Desktop Engineer with knowledge with the following:

• Experience with Microsoft Windows 10 Desktop Operating Systems
• Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and multi-task effectively to deal with changing priorities.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint), desktop and laptops builds

As first level support, you will be responsible for building and deployments. You will work closely with Windows Desktop Engineering team, Project Manager on a day to day basis.

The candidate will have ample opportunity for technical growth. The ideal candidate will be an ambitious self-starter that takes the initiative.

What you'll need:

• The right to work without needing visa sponsorship.
• Basic understanding of installing software
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and Networking
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint), desktops and laptops
• A requirement for this role may be to attest and provide proof of vaccination for Covid 19 upon hire.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows 10 Desktop Operating Systems
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related major
• Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and multi-task effectively to deal with changing priorities.
• A GPA of 2.75 or higher. We look for potential, not prestige, but it’s important that you enjoy pushing yourself to pick up new ideas.

We are committed to fair, transparent pay, and we strive to provide competitive compensation in addition to a comprehensive benefits package. The base pay rate for this position is $60,000 USD. This pay rate represents Wiley Edge’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting and based on the locations listed in the job advertisement. It is anticipated that qualified candidates selected for a placement will receive this pay rate as a starting salary once onsite with the Wiley Edge client, however, the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
