Job Description

CELINE is a fast-growing French and Leather-Goods Couture House that belongs to LVMH group driven by a new holistic and creative project led by Hedi Slimane, its Artistic, Creative and Image Director.

YOUR IMPACT


Department Strategy:

  • Review US product launch calendar and outline specific strategies surrounding each item and level of support needed.
  • Monitor rising talent consistently to identify potential collaborators for paid proposals.
  • Benchmark competitors consistently to determine their strategies surrounding product placements, fashion show activations, and dressing moments to help inspire innovative ideas.
  • Develop strategies and accompanying budget proposals for initiatives that will increase US visibility while remaining within brand image parameters.


Dressing Requests:

  • Lead email exchange with stylists regarding talent approvals and dressing proposals.


Talent Proposals:

  • Oversee rising talent research in film/music/dance/skate industries.


Gifting:

  • Finalize regional talent proposals for gifting activations.
  • Pitch product launch to stylists/agents for them to engage their client.


Budget:

  • Place sample orders according to approved annual budget.
  • Exercise budget cuts and saving models when requested by Paris.
  • Review budget monthly with Finance Paris and Accounting US to ensure all charges correctly billed and that numbers are on target.


MISC:

  • Oversee VIP Assistant and Freelancer in daily activities and work flow.
  • Support stylists/assistants with talent shopping appointments, purchases, special orders.


Award Season / Film Festivals:

  • Develop couture collection in partnership with VIP Dev. Paris by selecting favorite styles/colorways/fabric/sizing from their proposals and outlining delivery timing.
  • Collaboration with Press Teams and talent’s PR on VIP stories surrounding dressing moments, ensuring all assets are captured during the getting ready period before the event.
  • Correspond back and forth with VIP Dev. and stylist on development of gown/suit and timing for delivery.
  • Pitch stylists/agents of approved talent. Develop couture proposals in partnership with VIP Dev., after presenting them with comprehensive request from talent, competitive benchmark, sizing and timing for delivery.


Fashion Shows:

  • Develop invitation listing for Paris review.
  • Follow-up with talent stylist/agent on updates regarding show timing + requesting talent to post invite.


KEYS FOR SUCCESS


Qualifications:

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-dimensional environment
  • Highly agile and able to execute while dealing with ambiguity
  • Experience working with luxury brands
  • 5+ years’ related experience
  • Previous experience working in an international environment a plus
  • Ability to travel when required
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain relationships
  • Superior written, verbal and presentation skills


Languages: Fluent in English | French is a plus


Team Structure: This role will have 2 direct reports


The compensation for this position ranges from $95,000-140,000 (annually). The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate’s relevant skills and experience. In addition, there is a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks, and a retirement plan with employer contribution
