We make bath accessories in Brooklyn, the U.S. and abroad. Everything we do begins with function, followed by design and a serious vetting of our manufacturing partners and raw materials. Quiet Town products are made to age-the more rumpled, washed, and loved the better. As concerned citizens of the world we don’t take being here lightly. This means we only make things we need and things that last.
We started Quiet Town because at the time it felt like the bathroom was being completely ignored by brands and designers. As a stylist and photographer we loved interiors yet kept finding ourselves wheeling a shopping cart around Bed Bath & Beyond buying things we needed but didn't love. We had a clear vision for the brand both from a design and ethical perspective and that guides us still today.
We’re a small scrappy team but we’ve seen tremendous growth over the past few years and we’re looking to grow our design team in order to tackle even more exciting projects!

- Maintain accurate records of fabric and trim libraries, keeping track of available options and sources.
- Act as the lead project manager for multiple new product initiatives from concept to delivery
- Assist in the development of product prototypes, reviewing samples for quality, functionality, and adherence to design specifications.
- Collaborate with suppliers to address any design-related issues that arise during the product development and manufacturing phases.
- Create detailed tech packs that include construction details, materials specifications, measurements, and other necessary information for production.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, fabric options, and relevant suppliers for specific product categories.
- Collaborate with the design team to develop concepts and themes for new home goods products, focusing on function, fabrics, and materials.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Attention to detail and a strong sense of craftsmanship to ensure high-quality design execution.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for sustainable design and a keen interest in eco-friendly and ethically sourced materials.
- Proficient in creating detailed tech packs with accuracy and clarity, using industry-standard software such as Adobe Illustrator or other design tools.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and manufacturers.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as textile design, fashion design, or a related discipline (preferred but not required).
- Strong knowledge of fabrics, materials, and their applications, particularly in the context of home goods.
- Experience with project management tools such as Trello, Asana, Notion, etc.
- 2-4 years of experience in a design coordination role, preferably within the home goods or textiles industry.
