This Junior Provider Data Consultant position will support the UnitedHealthcare Networks (UHN) Payment Appendix, Coding and Research (PACR) team in the build and maintenance of payment appendices within PROS (Provider Reimbursement Operations & Solutions) PAL (Payment Appendix Lifecycle).

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide quality testing of targeted payment appendix Drafting and Training Tools in comparison with PROS PAL application
• Provide back-up support to PROS PAL Builder
• Submit, monitor and release payment appendix templates through the Activity Manager application
• Participate in PROS PAL template Peer Reviews
• Support payment appendix edits in both production and administrative modules
• Building payment appendices in PROS PAL via clauses, variables etc. based upon MS Word Drafting and Training Tools. This requires adherence to established formatting and naming convention guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high priority projects simultaneously
• Proven problem solving skills; the ability to systematically analyze problems, draw relevant conclusions and devise appropriate courses of action
• Knowledge of the health care industry
• Bachelor’s degree in business, health care management or related field; OR 4+ years of total work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills (ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret complex information from others)
• Proficiency with MS Excel and/or data analysis
• Knowledge and proficiency of facility and professional contracting process
• Proven excellent interpersonal skills, establishing rapport and working well with others
• Proven excellent customer service skills
