Data Analyst - Tier 1 Systematic Quant Fund

They are currently seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join their Alpha Team, which plays a critical role in driving our investment strategies.
Position Overview:
As a Data Analyst on the Alpha team, you will be responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing vast amounts of financial data to identify actionable insights that drive our trading decisions. You will work closely with a team of quantitative researchers and traders to develop and implement data-driven strategies. Proficiency in Python programming is essential for this role, as you will be leveraging various libraries and frameworks to extract, transform, and analyze data efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Develop ETL and Pipelines
- Collaborate with quantitative researchers and traders to understand their data requirements and develop appropriate data solutions.
- Perform statistical analysis and hypothesis testing to validate trading signals and strategies.
- Identify opportunities to optimize data processing and analysis workflows, improving efficiency and scalability.
- Conduct thorough exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover patterns, trends, and anomalies.
- Create insightful visualizations and reports to communicate findings and support decision-making processes.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and workflows to automate data collection, integration, and preprocessing.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data analytics, recommending and implementing relevant tools and techniques.
- Collect, clean, and transform large datasets from diverse sources, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
Requirements:
- Experience with SQL and database technologies for efficient data retrieval and management.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and statistical techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline).
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow) is a plus.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with financial market data and concepts (e.g., equities, derivatives, pricing, risk).
- Strong proficiency in Python programming, with experience in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and data visualization libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, seaborn).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role, preferably in the finance industry.
