Job Description
Overview:
We are looking to hire a new Front Office Senior Quant at the Director level for Sales and Trading business.

The anticipated salary range for this role is between $209,000 and $250,000. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.
Responsibilities:
  • Overall quantitative measurement on FO trading risk, capital, margin, collateral and XVA
  • Lead and oversee Front Office Planning initiatives and provide quantitative analysis and oversight
  • Provide analytical support to the Libor transition project; capital, margin, collateral, and optimization initiatives; and Front Office management tools and development
Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in quantitative fields (Math, Physics, Stats, Engineering), PhD preferred
  • Five to ten years of experience in derivatives, with Front Office experience preferred
  • Strong technical skills, including C++, Python. KDB is a plus
