Our dedicated Customer Care Team collaborates with our internal partners to communicate to customers with confidence. We win together to execute upon and meet our customers' needs. Our Customer Care Team acts as solution champions, delivering winning results and a premiere customer experience. Due to the nature of this position, employees may occasionally be required to work more than a standard 40-hour week and/or 8-hour day and be available for rotating on call support.

Under the direct supervision of the Customer Care Manager, you will be responsible for the entire order fulfillment process. You will understand and follow defined Customer Care processes and procedures and serve as the BASF primary point of contact for customers.

As a Customer Care Account Specialist, you create chemistry by…

• Managing complex projects and timelines for Customer Care including organizing clear key deliverables, establishing, and meeting deadlines, action item management and resolution, information sharing with stakeholders, decision-making, collaboration, and final presentation.
• Supporting training, troubleshooting, offering solutions to customers including the eCommerce order stream, participating in orientation, and training for new hires and act as secondary trainer for new hires and mentoring of peers.
• Working as a member/leader of special or ongoing projects that are important to continuous improvement of the businesses. This role will be exposed to managing import / export orders direct-to-customer and collaborate with local and global colleagues to provide streamlined communication on order status.
• Establishing and improving work procedures and processes that support the company and departmental standards.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Your formula for success…

• Knowledge of Non-Conformance Management (NCM) measures will be a plus as you execute the process, including investigation and reporting.
• Strong problem-solving ability, ability to interact with the customer and to communicate with various functions across the business: Marketing, Sales, and Logistics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Knowledge and understanding of supply chain processes and materials planning will be essential as you effectively and efficiently manage order to cash process activities such as expediting, basic returns, back-order monitoring, sample and zero-dollar orders, consignment order process, and removing obstacles that may impact customer requirements and BASF's ability to satisfy them.
• Provide consistent quality service and acting as a liaison for customers and external service providers.
• Proficiency in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) SAP system including SD, MM and LE modules or similar ERP.
• Your strong ability to understand the customer needs as well as interact in a helpful and friendly manner will be a valued asset as you develop and maintain customer relationships to high-profile accounts for our North American customer base, including Canada.
• Educational and professional background in Supply Chain Management, processes or Logistics and materials planning.
