Job Description

We are seeking a mid-level Creative Project Manager to join our team at heavy, with 3-5 years experience, including experience at a branding/advertising/marketing agency.


The Creative Project Manager will support the broader brand function and the creative team while keeping projects tracking on time and on budget. The candidate will work with the creative team to successfully represent the client brand through execution across all deliverables. This role requires a high level of collaboration and communication within agency leadership, client key contacts and all involved creative team members in delivering highly engaging content.


The candidate will have a hands-on background in managing the creative development process through print, film production, presentation slides, web and more, with a roll-up-your-sleeves work ethic and a real passion for all aspects of creative project management. Responsibilities:

  • Leading project kickoff calls with the creative lead, presenting key deliverables, initial spec and mandatories, timelines, ensuring all parties are aligned on next steps and direction
  • Ensuring the client understands our creative process and the project timelines and expectations throughout the project lifecycle
  • Identifies and proactively resolves any deliverables that might fall behind schedule
  • Developing creative briefs, work orders and change requests and communicate changes to the creative team members
  • Serving as main or supporting point of contact for your portfolio of clients
  • Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple units (internal and external) are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
  • Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
  • Participating in daily and weekly agency status meetings to work through issues and set priorities for the day and the week
  • Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as things change
  • Working with the Director of Project Management on delegating tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete them
  • Gathering of all assets and direction prior to the start of a project; working with respective Creative Directors to ensure alignment between client expectations, project timelines and deliverables, and creative direction prior to project kick off (and throughout)
  • Performing quality control on the project throughout development via internal check-ins to maintain technical and strategic standards as per the project brief
  • Communicating weekly status updates on schedules, resources, risks, and dependencies internally, as well as with clients
  • Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
  • Communicating with the leadership team to keep the project aligned with their goals
  • Creating and managing Drive folders for each client and project

Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft and Mac suites: Word, Excel, Keynote, etc.
  • Solid project management experience
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a results-oriented mentality
  • Salary will be based on experience within $60k-$75k range
  • Ability to manage multiple demands simultaneously in a fast paced environment, while keeping projects on track
  • Proficient in project management tools like monday.com, Asana, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience at branding/advertising/marketing agency
  • Proficient in Google suite: Docs, Sheets, Slides, and more.
  • Strong understanding of creative process - video, web, digital media, print, and more

Education:

  • Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, or training
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or similar discipline
