Creative Director / Designer/Animator

Chapeau Studios is seeking a Creative Director to become a part of our team.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to work occasional late nights during busy seasons / Deliveries
• Expected to be a hands-on Team Leader and design/animate as well as create boards/presentations
• Work directly with clients and outside vendors
• Coordinate with project Producers/Managers to identify project needs and timing, build and meet Calendars, Bids and deadlines
• Collaborate with other artists, directors and VFX supervisors
• Lead and help build artist teams based on creative needs
• Create and collaborate on the production/post-production of various projects

Qualifications

• Self-starter
• Understanding of digital landscape, workflows and emerging technologies
• Personable and flexible with demands and changes
• Reel showcasing marketing design work and cohesive brand visuals
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects and Acrobat
• Can-do attitude and willingness to roll up their sleeves
• Be able to work with short deadlines and remain calm under pressure
• Ability to create high-end content
• Highly Detail-oriented quality control
• Ideally would have previously worked at a VFX or Editorial company
• Excellent communication skills
• Minimum 5 years within visual effects / post-production industry
• Ability to effectively communicate creative ideas and pitch projects

Experience

• Bachelor's (Required)
• Experience working as a lead at minimum 2 years
• 5 years as Creative Director (Preferred)

Position is located in Los Angeles, CA. Currently, this is a hybrid role: WFH and from our Mar Vista Studio. The position can be remote, however, depending on project needs may need to be onsite.
