Job Description
Who are we hiring?
As part of Sphere’s Brand Team, the Visual Designers collaborate to create graphic design applications, presentations, digital/print media and polished pitches. The main purpose of this role will be to provide design thinking and expertise for both the Brand Team and cross-functional needs both internally and externally. You’ll partner closely with your team’s strategists, as well as company leaders to bring our brand to life through carefully considered branding, design systems, and strategic creative frameworks - always ensuring they are grounded in our brand strategy and create clear articulation. The Visual Designer will work with cross-functional teams to research, develop and create experiential brand concepts/experiences across a variety of platforms and styles. We are looking for a wildly creative teammate with a strong eye, attention to detail and brand experience. They should be trend aware but also timeless. The Visual Designer should feel emboldened by the challenge of being a part of the team designing a world’s first medium & platform.
What will you do?
  • Lead in the development and design the Sphere brand identity for multi-platform rollout across web, print, mobile, merchandise etc.
  • QA leadership for technical aspects of presentations, production of artwork, and fabrication if necessary.
  • Research and prepare documents to communicate ideas to stakeholders, including design proposals and presentations.
  • Ensure that all work meets a high level of creativity, innovation and brand association.
  • Provide visual design and creative experiential thinking across a variety of projects from Sphere brand to marketing partnerships.
  • Maintain consistency and streamline production process by creating templates, libraries, and additional support materials.
  • Collaborate with project teams in research, ideation and development of original, scalable brand concepts and experiences for various media: motion graphics, screens and installations, brand installations.
  • Provide design and visual concepting executions for a variety of needs that may include presentations, photo-comping of creative ideas, infographic & data visualization, and illustrations.
What do you need to succeed?
  • A knack for capturing the spirit of a concept in presentation design format.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively.
  • Proficient in a variety of methods to convey ideas and concepts (e.g. storytelling, storyboards, mood boards, concept treatments, mock-ups etc.)
  • Demonstrated and extensive visual design software proficiency (Adobe Suite, Photoshop, InDesign, Keynote, PowerPoint, Miro, Figma, Illustrator etc.).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of emerging creative technologies, best practices and experimental approaches in design, marketing and brand communications.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship building skills.
  • Able to communicate the thinking behind your process.
  • Strong design background; understanding of typography, graphics, layout, form, color and spatialization; well versed in design process and production methods.
  • 5+ years of experience working in a fast-paced professional creative production studio or agency.
