POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a game designer that deeply cares about the work they do to help us further expand "Good Pizza, Great Pizza" game play and new games we have been working on.

The ideal candidate loves to build outstanding experiences for players and strives to improve their skills to become a great game designer. Passion for making and playing mobile games with great player experience is a must!

OBJECTIVES

• Conduct ongoing market research and integrate current trends and features to enhance gameplay
• Create new daily quests, achievements, upgrades, and skills as it relates to gameplay
• Collaborate with game designer and product manager to come up with system designs and write the game design documents (GDD)
• Develop prototypes and game designs that articulate the vision and requirements of game play features
• Ensure implementation of game design features are built according to specs and creative quality
• Create and empower player choice adhering to the creative vision of the game
• Help with GDDs standardization

COMPETENCIES

• Great attention to detail - you actually read this job description
• Understanding how to balance a high quality, fun player experience with product/business goals
• Game knowledge and an understanding of the design principles behind games especially for mobile, casual audience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• 1+ years in the gaming industry working on a on published game
• Experience with F2P games; having worked on a shipped F2P casual mobile game is a big plus
• Coding/Prototyping experience is a big plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged period of time sitting at a desk and computer
• Los Angeles, CA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work
