Zillow Group Legal and Compliance is a team of skilled legal and compliance professionals and fun people who enjoy working in a collegial environment within an innovative, fast-paced tech, real estate, and media company!
About The Role
Zillow Group’s Legal & Compliance contracts review team is looking for an outstanding attorney with a real passion for negotiating contracts who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment. We are looking for a candidate to be a key partner and support the contracting for our international employee and contingent workforce.
Applicants will have exceptional attention to detail, possess excellent communication skills and ability to foster strong relationships across functions and levels. You should enjoy taking the helm on evolving contract-related processes, efficiencies and forms of agreement while protecting the company’s interest, taking a proactive role on organization-specific initiatives, helping the company grow, and delivering dedicated service to cross-functional clients. It is not required but a strong preference if you are bi-lingual in Spanish.
In this role, you will
  • Advise on and help run business process outsourcing and nearshore programs
  • Draft, review and negotiate standard and non-standard commercial agreements to use in our international locations, including benefits and other employment related agreements, vendor agreements, online terms and conditions, professional service agreements, and a variety of other commercial contracts, from first draft to signature
  • Develop support playbooks, templates, checklists and other materials to support successful and efficient contracting.
  • Work on a team of attorneys and non-attorneys
  • Collaborate with other internal partners, including finance and information security, privacy and compliance, to facilitate detailed review of contracts and identify potential risks.
This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.
In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington the standard base pay range for this role is $120,900.00 - $193,100.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington and may not be applicable to other locations.
In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.
Who you are
  • JD with active state bar admission
  • 3-5 years of experience supporting contracts for international operations, with at least 2 years’ in-house experience preferred
  • Have a strong sense of ownership and accountability in delivering on initiatives and projects with little to no oversight
  • Experience in negotiating benefits agreements
  • A responsive project manager, skilled at communicating (orally and in writing) effectively with business partners
  • Experience with complex licensing and commercial agreements
