The Picerne Group is looking for an experienced Corporate Director of Information Technology.
This role is a senior level leadership position within the Picerne Group responsible for overseeing enterprise and solutions architecture, network, cloud computing, and communication services, along with participating on the IT leadership team supporting our SoCal properties. It will require working collaboratively across all levels within The Picerne Group to provide reliable and efficient services by partnering and applying strategic and critical thinking skills. The role will be responsible for influencing and driving technology initiatives that maximize long term value. The position requires frequent travel to our SoCal properties which are located within a 35-mile radius of the Home Office. This is both a strategic and also a hands-on role, working directly with the field teams as well as with the various corporate stakeholders. Strong leadership, interpersonal skills, the ability to prioritize and lead a small team effectively are key to success. Prior experience in multi-family residential is not required but a background in luxury hospitality, property management and or residential real estate development is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Create, maintain and lead Picerne Group technology standards
- Provide system support including service outage diagnosis, troubleshooting and restoration services
- Maintain user access working in conjunction with Accounting to ensure proper controls in place
- Lead management and negotiate contracts with third-party vendors
- Provide support and IT admin services to all corporate and field IT users
- Primarily responsible for making sure all critical IT systems i.e. network, servers, applications, communications, internet/Wi-Fi, video-conferencing, cyber security, data backup/recovery, equipment, etc.) are maintained and are available twenty-four (24) hours per day
- Create IT operating and capital budgets
- Establish user procedures and hardware familiarization for all systems and coordinate with YARDI IT specialist
- Performance any additional duties as assigned by the Chief Administrative Officer
- Design and create future IT infrastructure including cover design, integration, implementation, modification, and coordination of the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems (system integration)
- Assist end users with implementation of new applications as needed
- Oversee existing external IT service provider and evaluate performance and future needs
- Conduct frequent property visits to ensure off-site IT systems are properly maintained and are functioning
- Provide onboarding IT service for new corporate and field employees (as well as process for terminating employees)
- Lead annual PCI re certification process
- Ensure proper security processes in place to protect from cyber-attacks. Train and educate employees.
- Design and implement cloud integration
- Ensure proper systems backup and recovery processes in place
- Maintain all computer equipment for the Company including inventory system
Qualifications
- Self-starter, driven and motivated individual
- Work in a safe and organized manner
- Prior education and experience supporting networks with a focus on device and user security
- Strategic thinking ability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience defining IT strategy, including the cost-effectiveness benefit of security initiatives in the context of overall business risk mitigation and the company's operational objectives
- Experience developing and operating security programs, especially related to information handling and the protection of confidential information
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field or equivalent experience. 8+ years of diverse IT experience
- Willing to embrace an entrepreneurial work environment
- Technical background, A+, N+, MCSE, CAN and/or similar type of networking and IT skills
- Inquisitive mind to develop problem solving, decision making and conflict resolution
