General Description / Primary Purpose
The Coordinator of Training, under the direction of an Assistant Director or above, assists in the design, development and implementation of departmental processes and/or programs. Recommends policies and procedures to ensure effective coordination of departmental programs.
Essential Duties

Job Function
Manage online course services and tools that integrate with the LMS or enhance the quality of content delivered in online courses. Serves on University Learning Management System Team and consults with computer system users and staff from other units to determine hardware, software, or system functional requirements. Responsible for coordination of faculty development activities including the preparation and delivery of workshops and training programs. May interpret departmental policies for area of responsibility. During declared campus emergencies, this position may be required to perform specific job related duties at a designated off campus location or place of residence.
Provide excellent technical support on the LMS and related systems and tools for distance learning courses and programs. Develop and implement processes and procedures for supporting distance learning instructors and students. Develop and publish documentation for end-users that supports their use of multiple systems. Plan and manage face-to-face and online training opportunities for instructors. Develop plans for application upgrades and implementation of new functionality of the LMS and other online learning software. Validate upgrade results. Collect and analyze data about support and training efficacy and participant satisfaction. Other duties as assigned.
