Individual contributor responsible for the preparation of hot and/or cold food items. Ensures optimal service standards are met by creating an enjoyable experience for customers demonstrated by prompt service, quality food, and a clean station at all times. Maintain sanitation and food safety practices in accordance with policies, local agencies, OSHA and FDA.
Responsibilities
- Assist with catering needs.
- Follow established schedules and specifications in cooking, baking, sanitation, and related activities.
- Cleans and sanitizes all food preparation equipment and ensures that it is kept in safe and operable condition.
- Maintain sanitation and food safety practices for designated area and overall facility.
- Work cooperatively and jointly to provide the highest level of customer service
- Responsible for customer service and presentation of food.
- Opening and Closing duties as determined by Café Policies.
- Complete daily DSA supporting food safety and sanitation.
- Must become proficient in 2 or more work stations within 6 months of hire date.
- Responsible for general cooking duties in preparing food items for designated station.
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and
- Assist with miscellaneous Café projects.
- Must become Serve Safe Certified within 6 months of hire date.

Qualifications
- Able to lift a minimum of 30lbs
- High attention to detail.
- Performs well in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to execute tasks in a composed, professional and timely fashion

- Must be able to stand for 8 hour shift
- Knowledgeable with food, safety and sanitation.

- Proficient PC skills including the use of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.

EDUCATION:
- Servsafe Certified within 6 months of hire
- 2 years of culinary experience preferred
