About the Hotel: Hilton Gardens Inn, Wooster Ohio

Summary Of Position

The cook is capable of executing all salad, sandwich, grill, char grill, and fry items while meeting presentation and timing standards, assists others in the kitchen, and maintains a clean, well stocked and organized work area. The position will be for 2-3 days nights a week.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare entrees to recipe or special order
• Meets timing standards
• Ensures the area of responsibility is kept clean and well organized
• Coordinates orders with other orders, assists coworkers as needed
• Presents him/her professionally (clean, uniform, well groomed)
• Works cooperatively with front of house staff to respond to guest needs
• Maintains high standards of cleanliness, safety, and food safety throughout the shift
• Maintain up to date knowledge of recipes, procedures, and plating for all menu items
• As required stock, cleaning, opening, closing tasks, and any other duties required by the manager

Physical Demands

• Must be able to kneel, stand, bend, scoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill tasks
• Must be able to push /pull of various sizes during the shift
• Requires grasping, standing, walking, repetitive motions
• Must be able to stand and exert well paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length

Qualifications

• Able to accurately read and communication with orders
• Understanding of food safe practices
• Good communication skills
• Team player, and works productively with others
• Well organized, shows a sense of urgency, able to track multiple orders, and multi task
• Works well under pressure
