Marketing Content Strategist & Copywriter, Venmo Marketing


We’re looking for a creative marketer to bring the magic of Venmo to life through words and content. A storyteller to weave narratives about products, new and old, to customers, new and old. To craft a big, exciting message in an itty-bitty living space (i.e. a push notification. Or a genie lamp.).


You’ve got a strong creative background and an uncanny ability to write concise copy, often very quickly. You’re bffs with visual designers and thrive when working super closely together. You’re excited about words, like maybe more than is normal, and you can’t wait to produce smart, effective copy that's read by our millions of users.


You also have experience project managing multi-channel content and campaigns, thriving in strategy mode just as well as you do in nitty-gritty execution mode. You’re comfortable working across multiple product verticals and channel types, collaborating with various internal stakeholders, and working with agencies to create and deliver high quality creative that drives results—and makes people smile along the way.


What you'll do:
  • Content strategy:
  • Proudly present your work to stakeholders and be receptive to feedback, incorporating notes along the way
  • Copywriting:
  • Collaborate closely with designers to bring compelling stories and copy to life for emails, in-app feed tiles, in-app modals, push notifications, landing pages, and more
  • Project manage agencies and internal creatives to execute on those strategies, delivering content and campaigns such as videos, direct mail, digital ads, website content, and more
  • Build content strategies for continually educating our audience about our products and features and driving them to take action


What we’re looking for:


  • Relevant experience coordinating multi-channel creative and campaigns across various mediums, preferably in a creative agency or client side creative environment
  • Ability to flex and pitch in on new tasks outside of the defined role - our team wears many hats 😊
  • Strong strategic mindset
  • A love for content, and the ability to juggle many content projects at once
  • Must be a fast self-starter with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop copy that supports objectives, sometimes with minimal direction
  • Solid writing, editing, and storytelling skills

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is $43400 to $111980
