Job Summary:


Blavity Inc. is seeking a Senior Creative Strategist to manage the creative development process for key client & revenue initiatives for the Chief Revenue Officer and key creative projects for the Office of the CEO. The projects will be varied in scope and may include top client go-to-market brand strategy, branded merchandising, website design management, brand licensing, creative program management and more. This position is primarily focused on new business and will include coaching and working closely with art directors, project managers, creative producers and agencies.


This role is perfect for an ambitious problem-solver with corporate experience and a creative point of view who wants to see the direct impact of their creative work drive the business forward. You will work 70% of the time on Blavity Media Group and 30% on Blavity Inc., working closely with our executives, content leads and Sales teams.


This role will report to the Media Sales leadership team and Office of the CEO.


Responsibilities:


  • Represent Blavity Media Group and join key Media client meetings as needed to consult on key creative client projects
  • Own project roadmap, timeline, and budget for each creative project
  • Conceptualize and manage branded licensing products creatively & programmatically, in partnership with our Business Development Director
  • Conceptualize and manage ad-hoc creative projects for new business
  • Oversee the strategy and execution of go-to-marketing strategies and creative collateral for top cross-functional projects and key accounts.
  • Manage the creative direction and production process for select client and agency partnerships, as determined by the Chief Revenue Officer.
  • Hire and manage freelance designers, producers and creative contractors as needed per project maintaining a robust network of diverse BIPOC creatives and indie creative agencies.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Marketing on large Blavity Inc projects
  • Own and manage our involvement in advertising upfronts, advising on our overall strategy and managing the production of our visual collateral


Qualifications:
  • Independent, entrepreneurial self-starter who is comfortable taking on a high level of responsibility
  • Additional Qualifications:
  • 3+ yrs of advertising experience, developing and creating for digital/social strategies and campaigns
  • Expert project manager, able to track deadlines, budgets and external personnel
  • Strong written and information design skills
  • 5+ years managing experience
  • Experience communicating ideas to business owners, stakeholders and senior management in order to persuade, gain acceptance, or sell
  • Technologies: Fluent in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Asana, and/or comparable project management suite
  • Education: BA
  • Naturally detail-oriented, with an obsessive need to document and communicate findings
  • Required Experience:
  • A healthy appreciation of GIFs and Black culture


Details:


  • The annual salary range for this role is $110,000 - $130,000.
  • This is a fully remote role, U.S.- based role. 15% Occasional travel may be required.
