Job Description

Position Summary

Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing and DTC, the Creative & Content Manager collaborates with the Brand and DTC Marketing teams to bring Terlato’s luxury portfolio of Family Estates brands to life. Encapsulating Chimney Rock, Rutherford Hill, Sanford, Klipsun, and Iconoclast, they will help strengthen brand equity and performance potential by empowering our brands to tell their stories and present themselves in differentiated, compelling, visually appealing ways. The Creative & Content Manager will collaborate with their Marketing counterparts in defining our brands’ visual identities and will then be tasked with carrying them forward into reality, through graphic design and other means. This role spans across brand marketing and DTC sales and marketing teams, supporting multiple Directors and Brand Managers by delivering with a wide range of design collateral, and plays a pivotal part in the evolution of Terlato’s Family Estates portfolio of brands.

Graphic Design

Design, develop and execute a variety of digital and printed collateral for both our national marketing and Direct-to-Consumer teams, inclusive of mechanical production where needed. Example deliverables could include:

  • Retail point-of-sale materials
  • Digital template designs (Canva email templates, PowerPoint templates, etc.)
  • Other ad hoc design needs
  • Tasting room & wine club promotional materials
  • Thematic sales/marketing program activation materials
  • Branded sales & marketing materials (sales sheets, etc.)
  • Print and digital display ads

Packaging

· Manage and execute packaging updates, including basic design changes, vintage and copy updates,

· Responsible for creation of both renderings and mechanical files

· Performs quality checks during packaging printing/production

· For some projects, may require management of outside packaging design agencies

· Responsible for submitting labels to Compliance for TTB submission and track approval process to completion

· Depending on experience, full packaging redesigns and/or original packaging concepting as a part of new brand and product development could be in scope

Brand Identity and Branding Strategy

  • Create branding standards, brand styling and visual identity definition, and documentation of each through brand ID and style guides
  • Collaborate with Brand Marketing team in the development and refinement of visual identities for each brand

Content Creation & Management

  • Create or source compelling, on-brand, channel appropriate digital content and visual media to support brand storytelling across digital touchpoints, including social media, brand websites, advertising, and email
  • Manage all brand content creation, collection, and cataloging, ensuring it can be accessed with ease
  • Design and deploy digital trade marketing content to support sales efforts
  • Lead outsourced photography and videography efforts, including the development of shot lists, briefing and overseeing outside photographers/videographers
  • Deploy content to internal and external stakeholders as needed
  • Depending on experience, conducting basic in-house photography and digital photo retouching may also be in scope

Other

· Provide presentation and visual communication styling assistance so as to deliver captivating, visually appealing professional presentations

  • Perform additional creative and design duties, as needed

Professional Qualifications & Experience:

  • Associates degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Digital Arts, or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Design experience in the Wine or other Beverage Alcohol sector is a must
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud, and confidence in learning new programs
  • 5+ years professional graphic design experience

· Photography and photo retouching experience a plus

  • Copywriting and creative copy development (i.e., taglines, slogans, brand naming) a plus

· Design experience with luxury brands and products a plus

  • Collaborative attitude and style with an interest in working closely with marketing

· Strong results orientation and project management skills

  • Commitment to the highest standards of integrity
  • Confidence to take initiative and make decisions proactively
  • Able to work well under pressure both autonomously as well as part of a team
