Content Design Manager Jobs

Are you interested in giving people ways to develop, define and explore their identities and how they can express themselves in the Metaverse and across social apps?The Avatars & Identity team builds the Meta Avatars system to support users across Meta’s social apps and the Metaverse to embrace and explore identity, expression and social presence. This team works with cross-functional teams to expand on representation and modes of expression, and to make it easy and fun to edit, customize, and use avatars wherever people want to. You’ll guide a team of content designers to help design these core experiences, ensure design and legal integrity, and enhance the systems and standards to scale this work across multiple spaces. You will collaborate as a Design leader with Product Design, User Research, Art, Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, and other roles in a highly cross-functional team environment. Content Design Manager Responsibilities:

• Build the teams and skills necessary for long-term growth, both within and outside the organization.
• Manage a team that delivers on multiple projects or programs across regions or business groups.
• Share your own work and give feedback to teammates in a variety of settings.
• Help to recruit highly talented people to join the content design team, and onboard cross-functionally.
• Build internal community (for example, drive inclusion, onboard new employees, and connect people on your team with new opportunities).
• Promote content design at Meta and in the broader design and content communities.
• Actively build and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Coach team members to increase their impact, develop their strengths and grow their careers.
• Provide regular performance feedback, check-ins and reviews for people who report to you.
• Provide content design for complex features for the global Meta audience.
• Develop lightweight, repeatable processes, workflows and content templates that keep the team nimble and successful in a culture that values moving fast and iterating quickly.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience building teams over time through hiring, growing, and retaining high-performing employees
• 5+ years experience directly managing, coaching and developing full-time employees
• 10+ years experience in content design or a related field
• Knowledge of social and mobile experiences

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience influencing product strategy with cross-functional partners
• Knowledge of virtual reality and gaming
• Experience establishing a content design team, or equivalent, within an established organization
• Established as a thought leader within content design or other relevant industries
• 5+ years experience working with product teams
