As a Control Manager Vice President, you will be responsible for providing Control Management support to Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) Operations. Expectations include leading and building an enhanced control framework which supports a continuous and integrated approach to risk assessment. Additionally, you will support top-down risk analysis, real time control issue detection, escalation, root cause analysis and remediation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership support for the end-to-end execution of the Control and Operational Risk Evaluation (CORE), including control deficiencies and resolutions, to develop and confirm mitigation of financial, regulatory, and customer/reputational risk.
- Manage control related activities, including: CORE, Risk Events (RED), Issues/Action Plans, Testing and Validation, Key Performance Indicator monitoring
- Create a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols
- Confirm/validate user acceptance testing strategy, methodology and execution to support effective initiative deployment
- Drive collaboration and coordination to support alignment between the Agile product/control framework, with the Operations process/control framework
- Engage with key stakeholders on risk and control implications through collaboration with Product team and line of defense partners in support of Agile Product-related activities to identify and mitigate associated risk impacts
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:
- Problem solving / Analytical skills - solid critical thinking, attention to detail and analytical skills; able to synthesize large amounts of data and formulate appropriate conclusions
- Understanding root cause / identifying control deficiencies
- Developing timely and sustainable solutions
- Analyze metrics for emerging risk
- Communication/presentation - excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to influence business leaders in a meaningful and actionable manner

- Proficient knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to design, create and evaluate the operational risk and control environment in conjunction with business partners
- Process analysis / design acumen – ability to understand a process and associated risk to inform control design
- Business knowledge - ability to understand the business / knowledge of regulation surrounding business
- Networking – exceptional interpersonal skills; exceptional collaboration and relationship building skills
- 7+ years of financial service experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Understanding root cause / identifying control deficiencies
- Agile Product or Technology Development experience preferred
