About Us: We are a national nonprofit that provides high-performance Passive House building training and resources, including symposiums, conferences, membership, and knowledge networking, to professionals, owners, builders, policymakers, and other stakeholders, across the US. We transform how stakeholders think and work with buildings - to reliably produce new and renovated buildings that use dramatically less energy for effective and affordable climate action. What we do is the ideal combination of working at scale across the US and globe while effecting direct results in the built environment.

About the Role: You will help make what we do known and accessible to industry stakeholders from homeowners and developers, to builders, architects, and engineers, to policymakers, regulators, and activists. You will be reaching out with your work to stakeholders across the country and around the world. You'll take on the production of a full spectrum of media. Among the responsibilities of the role are:

• Help develop PHN messaging, brand, and market presence.
• Write/edit copy for all aspects of our work, from training descriptions to newsletters, press releases, brochures, and reports.
• Design graphic assets for print, web, and video.
• Manage video and photography assets, editing, curating, and commissioning as needed.
• Manage publicity and social media campaigns.

Qualifications

• Excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work within deadlines.
• Passionate about writing, art, design, and communications.
• Passionate about building sustainability and climate action.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse communities.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Must be tech-savvy with knowledge of video editing, Canva, AdobeSuite, G Suite, Hubspot, Social Media Platforms, WordPress, Avada, and Video-hosting platforms.
• Enjoy social media production and interactions.
• Background in communications of a similar nonprofit service-oriented field, interested in environmental studies, sustainable development, architecture, or similar. Career changers are encouraged to apply.
• Interest in learning about high-performance architecture and construction.
