York Prep School is seeking a Communications Coordinator to join our team. The Communications Coordinator will be offered a competitive salary and play a vital role in managing the school's internal and external communication initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent writing skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of stakeholders.
About the role
- Work collaboratively with members of the school's leadership team to ensure that communication efforts align with the school's overall strategic goals.
- Write and edit content for various communication channels, ensuring that messaging is consistent with the school's brand and values.
- Develop and execute an internal communication plan that includes regular updates to faculty and staff, ensuring they are informed about school-wide initiatives, policies, and events.
- Coordinate with faculty and staff to promote the school's academic and extracurricular programs, including highlighting individual student accomplishments.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of communication efforts, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Manage the school's external communication efforts, including the school's website, social media accounts, newsletters and Veracross communications.
- Collaborate with the Admissions team to develop and implement marketing strategies to attract and retain students.
Who we are looking for
To be considered for this role you will have a Bachelor’s degree and have a minimum of three years of experience in communications or marketing, preferably in an educational or mission-driven organisation. We would also expect;
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, parents, and community members.
- Experience with website content management systems, social media platforms, and email marketing software. Experience with Veracross is a plus.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- A commitment to the mission and values of York Prep School.
- Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences.
