The Commercial Real Estate Asset Manager is responsible for reviewing Commercial Real Estate (CRE) loan documents, while protecting the bank's interest, and providing management of a loan portfolio from the time the loans are approved until pay-off or maturity. Works closely with Closing Manager throughout life of loan. Manages a portfolio of various types of CRE loans in accordance with Credit policy, Bank policy, and Federal regulations. Proactively requests all monitoring items, including financial reporting deliverables from clients. Tracks and monitors past due deliverables and collaborates on action plans covering past due items with business line and Manager. Proactively communicates receipt of financial statement deliverables to Relationship Manager and credit team. In addition to construction and term loans, a typical loan portfolio may include unsecured and secured borrowing base lines of credit, subscription lines, and various other complex loan products.

In addition, the Asset Manager collaborates with risk management, portfolio management, lenders and others that may be involved in complex internal or external audits. Gathers and reviews documentation on requested samples and collaborates on deliverables. Conducts any required Code Review and completes Post Close Audit Review ensuring accuracy with system data input. Collaborates with Closing Manager on any discrepancies and issues identified.

This role is hybrid. Team members who are in a hybrid role typically spend three days a week at the listed U.S. Bank location(s), while having flexibility on their work location for the other working days.

Basic Qualifications

  • Five to seven years of experience in commercial real estate loan administration
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience


Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a commercial real estate loan portfolio
  • Strong knowledge of banking and commercial real estate finance including documentation, re-pricing, payment application, construction disbursement, insurance and flood
  • Advanced knowledge of commercial real estate finance, law, documentation, accounting, and data systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, customer service skills and applies a commitment to Client Advocacy practices.
  • Ability to meet the requirements to be commissioned as a Notary Public
  • Strong technical expertise in loan management functions
  • Considerable knowledge of commercial real estate lending including letters of credit, tax credit transactions, borrowing base lending, multi-phased construction, and transactions secured by multiple collateral properties

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $76,840.00 - $90,400.00 - $99,440.00
