Clinical Social Worker Msw

ABOUT THE JOB:Summary:
Implement and administer policies, programs and activities. Responsible for performing psychosocial assessments on families ability to meet their child's healthcare needs. Ensure the preparation and maintenance of required documentation per accreditation standards and CMC's policy.
Shift Details : Mon-Fri 8 am to 5 PM and Some weekend shifts
Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and direct multidisciplinary patient care conferences focusing both on medical and biopsychosocial needs.
• Facilitate parent/child adjustment to illness and hospitalization.
• Perform biopsychosocial screening and assessment of the families ability to meet their children's healthcare needs by applying specialized knowledge and advance practice skills in assessment treatment, diagnosis of mental illness, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Coordinate anticipatory discharge to ensure that patient's home - care is prearranged prior to leaving the hospital.

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Experience working in Oncology and cardiology units is very much preferred
• At least 2 years previous Social Work experience Pref
• At least 4 years related experience Pref

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

• State of Texas LMSW license Req
• State of Texas LCSW license Pref

EDUCATION:

• Masters Degree in Social Work -Req
