Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Social Worker to join our team and provide comprehensive mental health support to individuals struggling with various mental health disorders. As a licensed professional with a master’s degree in social work and specialized training in mental health, you will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating clients to improve their overall well-being.
Job Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, counselors, and medical doctors, to ensure holistic and coordinated care for clients.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans, set realistic goals, and outline interventions to address mental health concerns effectively.
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards in all interactions with clients, colleagues, and the broader community.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health disorders, treatment options, coping skills, and strategies to promote long-term well-being.
  • Administer evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, groups, and families using various modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, psychoeducation, and solution-focused therapy.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records, documenting assessment findings, treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant information in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health needs, including gathering historical information, evaluating symptoms, and identifying potential underlying causes of disorders.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support during periods of acute distress, ensuring clients have access to appropriate resources and coping strategies.
  • Stay current with the latest developments in the field of mental health through continuing education, training, and attending relevant workshops and conferences.
  • Monitor clients' progress over time, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on ongoing assessments and feedback.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • Empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental attitude towards clients' diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • Organizational skills to manage caseloads, documentation, and treatment plans effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions for mental health concerns.
  • Master’s degree in social work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
  • State licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent, permitting the independent practice of mental health therapy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology.
  • Understanding of legal and ethical guidelines related to mental health practice.
  • This position is dependent on contract award.**
  • Specialized training and experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental health disorders.
