  • Listen carefully and with empathy to parent and student concerns. Educate about the review and appeal process.
  • Provide guidance on how accommodations are provided in order to ensure students' needs are being addressed by the accommodations.
  • Maintain communication with relevant professional organizations to highlight College Board's mission to serve test takers with disabilities.
Collaboration, Consultation and Technology (5%)

  • Consult and collaborate with colleagues from both intra and interdisciplinary professions (psychology, neuropsychology, audiology, vision experts, medical experts).
  • Provide and receive feedback to ensure the effectiveness, quality assurance and efficiency of the eligibility process.
  • Produce materials that provide information relevant to accommodations on College Board tests, including presentations, print and web-based educational tools, and resources to be used for training and professional development.

About You

  • You bring at least 4 to 6 years of direct work experience as a professional in the practice of psychological/ educational assessment in secondary school or postsecondary level.
  • You bring knowledge of secondary school issues/trends related to students with disabilities.
  • You bring extensive knowledge of assessments and procedures as they relate to the determination of various disabilities and appropriate accommodations.
  • You bring strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to team members, other professionals, educators, students, and parents.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, instructional/training skills, and computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.
