Job Description
Job Summary:
The Manager, Pharmacy Clinical Innovation is responsible for developing and executing strategies to create new, innovative Pharmacy clinical programs that drive better member outcomes.
Essential Functions:
  • Work within a cross functional team to identify and drive total cost of care savings by executing on co-developed project plans
  • Defines team measurements, goals, and tracking at the individual level, aligned with RxInnovations objectives.
  • Develop and implement new or improved procedures for operational effectiveness and efficiency
  • Contribute to the strategic vision, objectives, policies and procedures for the Pharmacy, supporting the corporate strategic vision in conjunction with department and health plan objectives
  • Works cross-functionally with multiple departments on collaborative projects
  • Perform any other job duties as requested
  • Responsible for the development and execution of a communication plan to ensure that consistent communication is occurring between staff and leadership is occurring in an ongoing and consistent manner.
  • Establishes and achieves ambitious department goals in alignment with RxInnovations objectives.
  • Prepares & delivers written reports and oral presentations for senior management that summarizes the effectiveness and design of our clinical programs, and the value they deliver to the organization
  • Represent Pharmacy on company-wide committees as assigned
  • Oversee the management of and/or manage external relationships with key vendors, ensuring that vendors meet relevant performance standards
  • Leads a high performing team of experts, strategic thinkers, and influencers, to manage and promote quality, innovation, communication, and best-in-class performance.
  • Participate in budget planning, forecasting and strategic planning efforts, as requested
  • Provide leadership and direction to the team to ensure the initiatives, goals and standards of the department are achieved
  • Review, analyze and develop policies, procedures and practices for accomplishing the assigned work functions and objectives.
  • Integrate and leverage relationships with other areas within CareSource to deliver key business initiatives
  • Oversee the development of key performance indicators and success metrics to ensure we continually assess all clinical programs to ensure that they meet the defined objectives, state/federal regulatory requirements and deliver value to the organization and our health plans
Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of one (1) year of Government program experience is preferred
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD required
  • Three (3) years of Pharmacy experience required
  • Previous leadership experience preferred
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration is preferred
  • Three (3) years in a healthcare environment required, one (1) of which must be in managed care or with a PBM
  • Minimum of two (2) years of product development or product management experience required
  • Experience with Medicare Stars or HEDIS quality metrics preferred

Licensure and Certification:
  • Current, unrestricted Registered Pharmacist (RPh) is required
Working Conditions:

Compensation Range:
$104,400.00 - $182,700.00
