Job Description
Overview:
The Civil Engineering Managers primary duty is to oversee and coordinate the Civil Engineering aspects of various construction projects. From site identification to finish, ensuring that studies, designs and layouts are timely and accurate. Reviewing the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.

Qualifications:
The position requirements inlcude, but are not limited to:
  • 10+ years of Civil Engineering experience required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills a must
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Licensed P.E. (Civil) required

Responsibilities:
The position responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with a variety of people, including owners, managers, designers, supervisors, local authorities and subcontract engineers
  • Collaborates with clients, supervisory staff, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve problems, including work procedures, complaints, and construction or design issues
  • Prepares and submits budget estimates and regularly communicates with client concerning budget progress and costs
  • Employee must be able to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Provides leadership in initial planning stage by collaborating with clients, architects. local and state governments, or other involved parties; develops detailed description of work necessary to complete project
  • Plans, coordinates, organizes, oversees, and directs activities regarding the design and planning of assigned structures, facilities, and systems
  • Manages and leads actions that are necessary due to delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction sites
  • Perform other duties as required and/or assigned
  • Ensures safety standards and guidelines are followed on the jobsite and that all safety codes are met in construction
  • Ensures adherence to the budget and, when unexpected complications or issues arise, makes quick and necessary adjustments
  • Oversees contract negotiations, revisions, and additions and adherence by all parties
  • Schedules and coordinates projects in logical steps and budgets the time necessary to meet each deadline
  • Inspects completed work for adherence to standards and designs
