Prepares calculations and quantity takeoffs as necessary.

Present, support, and lead-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.

Prepare various exhibits and design drawings using AutoCAD Civil3D

Preparation of entitlement documents in support of Tentative Maps, Vacations, Zone Changes, Entitlements, etc.

Basic knowledge of civil engineering design, systems, calculations, along with the application of engineering methods and construction methods and materials

Prior internship and/or related engineering experience

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited university

Assist various teams specializing in Transportation, Roadway Design, Traffic Analysis, Drainage, Bus Rapid Transit, and Rail

Create and edit project cross sections, profiles, and typical sections

Perform quantity takeoffs for highway projects using Caltrans nomenclature and formatting to create specific construction estimates

Support production of plans and project layouts using Microstation and AutoCAD

Ensure compliance with the American with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Perform any other duties as requested by the General Manager.

Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience

All certifications and licenses need to be current and active

Need strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to work independently as well as with a team

Computer experience in AutoCAD (Civil3D) and ArcGIS.

Street design and other public improvement experience.

Experience working with governmental agencies and permitting entities.

Additional computer experience, particularly in computer modeling related to sanitary sewer, water, and storm sewer systems.

5-7+ years of civil engineering experience

Utility-scale solar design experience (storage experience is an advantage)

Create internal conceptual and preliminary designs of solar and storage projects for purposes including interconnection, permitting, project sales, and construction preparation

Lead grading, stormwater, drainage, erosion, hydrology, and geotechnical analyses to support value-engineering and solar array design optimization

Conduct early-and mid-stage desktop hydrological, geotechnical, and topographical site assessment and incorporate findings in project design

Oversee quality of civil project designs and support resolution of challenges encountered throughout the construction process

Energy Management Information System (EMIS) software integration.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously and strive to exceed client expectations.

A desire to gain deep technical knowledge relating to industrial energy, resource conservation and process optimization.

Excellent PC skills, especially MS Excel, with software development beneficial.

Troubleshoot complex circuit design to component level

Maintain component inventories and records of equipment calibration certificates

Test and collect data to create test reports and process test data

Experience working directly with a variety of Clients/Owners.

B.S./M.S. degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited university.

Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Indiana or ability to obtain within a 6-month period.

Proficiency with hydrologic & hydraulic modeling (SWMM, HEC-RAS, etc.), AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS software.

Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
