Job Description

Hello! We are the Legal Advocacy & Education Commission. A 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to advocating for first time offenders facing felonies, educating in criminal law & helping victims of police misconduct. We are looking to fill the position of Programs Officer. Our team is passionate about our unique cause and we have been making rapid progress & gaining much support!


Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Chief Programs Officer to join our team at the Legal Advocacy & Education Commission, a 501c3 nonprofit organization. As the Chief Programs Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success and growth of our programs. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the organization's program development and implementation, working closely with other team members to create strategies that will help our programs flourish.


Responsibilities:

•Develop and implement a comprehensive program strategy to advance the mission and objectives of the organization.

•Collaborate with the executive team to set program goals and develop plans for achieving them.

•Lead the development and implementation of new programs, ensuring they align with the organization's mission and strategic direction.

•Oversee program budgets and resource allocation to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.

•Establish and maintain program guidelines and standards to ensure high-quality service delivery and program effectiveness.

•Monitor program performance and evaluate outcomes to identify areas for improvement and make necessary adjustments.

•Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement marketing strategies that promote program awareness and attract participants.

•Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including partner organizations, government agencies, and community leaders, to enhance program collaboration and support.

•Provide regular reports on program activities, outcomes, and impact to the executive team and board of directors.


Qualifications:

•Strong written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail.

•Proven experience in program management, preferably in a nonprofit or social services setting.

•Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives.

•Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

•Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

•Sound judgment and decision-making abilities, with a commitment to ethical practices.

•Knowledge of criminal law, legal advocacy, or related fields is highly desirable.

•Passion for social justice.
