Job Description

A generational opportunity to impact our client, a highly respected accounting firm ranked just below the “Big 4”, with four offices, 500 employees and multiple annual best places to work awards.


The firm is seeking a “VISIONARY EXECUTOR” of policy and procedure to lead their HR team as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). A minimum of 10 years of experience, in a peer size or larger accounting firm, law firm or other similarly structure corporate entity is required. SHRM certifications and a master’s degree in HR is preferred for consideration.


The ideal candidate will work as a strategic partner to Senior leadership developing the firm’s HR strategy, providing guidance in workforce, culture, benefits and employment related matters. This role will also ensure the successful design and delivery of timely, responsive and client focused HR services, ensure integrated and consistent HR strategies, practices and approaches across the firm including DEI initiatives, recruiting, retention and performance management.


As a member of the management committee, the CHRO will lead the design and implementation of transformational change in the HR organization, and will help to build new and expanded strategic capabilities and programs within HR. As visionary, strategic leader, the CHRO, a member of the Executive leadership team, will report to the Executive Committee and the Chief Operating Officer. The CHRO will lead a range of core HR areas including Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Total Rewards, Learning and Development, Employee Relations, and Payroll and candidates are required to have measurable and demonstrable experience in each of the six.


Outstanding interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills and active listening skills are key to the success of this role. Compensation is made up of salary (250K-290K) plus bonus (25%++) based on performance and metrics. Leading candidates will have demonstrable success in leading and inspiring a high performing, empowered HR team and driving a positive work culture across the firm. Demonstrated success in transformational leadership, driving change, and fostering the growth and development is required.
