Mission
Providing free, anonymous access to mental health services for Service Members, Veterans, and Intelligence community officers. In doing so, we precisely address the primary barrier to seeking care: stigma and concern of professional blowback.
As Chief Growth Officer, you will drive growth across all three programmatic channels: Persons Seeking Help (PSH), Peer Supporters, and Clinicians. You will report directly to the CEO and will develop, execute, and sustain strategic growth initiatives while navigating the challenges of a resource-limited environment. You will accomplish this primarily via forging valuable partnerships, but will also explore cost-efficient organic growth opportunities.
Partner Growth
At Sound Off, we understand the power of collaboration. We work primarily through strategic partnerships to extend our reach and deepen our impact. Our current network spans multiple special operations forces benevolent organizations; your first task will be to broaden this alliance across the full veteran/service member community. You will identify, prioritize, and engage prospective partners that offer opportunities for scale, diversity in programming channels, and cater to a wide range of communities. Your efforts will also focus on expanding partnerships with clinical and peer support organizations, corporations, the Department of Defense, Veterans Affairs, and state and local governments.
You will manage our relationship with these organizations; you will provide outreach resources and support, data on efficacy and financial reporting, and ultimately work with these stakeholders to most effectively reach their communities.
Organic Strategy
While partnerships are our primary growth engine, you will also cultivate organic growth opportunities with a strong focus on cost-efficiency and high ROI. This might include unpaid social media promotion, earned media coverage, and other creative, budget-friendly growth strategies.
Part of the organic strategy will involve developing an Ambassador Program, enlisting volunteers to drive our outreach efforts nationwide. It is unlikely Sound Off will employ a large population of outreach personnel across the country, instead we intend to rely on local stakeholders (military leadership, retirees, spouses), often in collaboration with our established partners, to drive engagement in their communities. As resources permit, you may also recruit and manage a dedicated staffer to oversee and maintain this network.
Expansion
You will also be responsible for identifying opportunities to extend Sound Off’s unique model of care to other communities, with law enforcement agencies and first responders being natural expansion targets.
Staff Expansion
As expansion opportunities come to fruition, you will be responsible for hiring and managing the individuals that will be needed to support these new avenues of growth.
Systemic Enhancement
You will help identify areas of friction within our core technologies which are limiting scalability; you will work with the CEO and engineering talent to address these barriers balancing them against competing engineering priorities.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a growth-focused leadership role, preferably in the non-profit, military, health, or tech sectors.
Strong networking skills with a track record of building and maintaining strategic partnerships.
Strong focus on automation/system building first mentality.
Experience in managing volunteer networks or ambassador programs is desirable.
Excellent leadership skills with a proven history of effective team management.
Experience in program expansion or scaling operations, ideally in a mental health context.
Experience working with and within the Department of Defense or VA.
Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills; an attitude of entrepreneurship and innovation.
