Job Description

Trimble is hiring for an experienced Change Manager within Geospatial to support our employees and partners on Digital Transformation and our journey to Connect and Scale. The role is focused on helping to build and drive transformation across the sector and across our partner network, helping to manage a network of change agents and supporting, training and assisting Geospatial as we transform our business model.

Our digital transformation will affect every business area, region and team throughout the company. We are transitioning our business model and developing best practice processes and procedures for providing the best possible, simplified customer experience. These are being captured in a Digital Transformation Playbook that every business in Trimble can follow and adopt. Our goals are focused around successful customers, happy shareholders and an empowered workforce and supported partners. This change requires some fundamental adjustments to the Trimble culture and to the way Trimble does business including how we are organized and governed and how we go-to- market. We will be introducing new skills, new teams and new functions to serve the customer in the best possible way.

This is a significant shift and it is critical we manage the change in a strategic, consistent manner. As such we need to build change management capability across the organization, starting from within People eXperience teams and matrixed with our Digital Transformation team. We are looking for a Change Manager to help align the global strategy to the sector, and assist our businesses and teams along the journey. The Change Manager’s key objectives will be to help manage a change agent network, support all Digital Transformation projects within the sector with their change management requirements, and help build change management capability across Trimble. The Change Manager will report to the Change Management Director within People eXperience.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Track and report issues
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress
  • Assess the change impacts via a change impact assessment
  • Evaluate and ensure user readiness
  • Identify, analyze, prepare risk mitigation tactics
  • Support and engage senior leaders
  • Create actionable deliverables for the five change management levers: communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, resistance management plan
  • Manage stakeholders
  • Coach managers and supervisors
  • Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities
  • Support training efforts
  • Create targeted and specific change management strategies
  • Manage the portfolio and change load
  • Support organizational design and definition of roles and responsibilities
  • Integrate change management activities into project plan
  • Consult and coach project teams
  • Support communication efforts
  • Support change management at the organizational level, Enterprise Change Management
  • Coordinate efforts with other specialists
  • Identify and manage anticipated resistance

Skills and qualifications

  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
  • Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics
  • Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts
  • Forward-looking with a holistic approach
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
  • Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
  • Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization
  • Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere
  • Excellent active listening skills
  • Solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process; experience with
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Prosci ADKAR® Model is a plus
  • Change management certification or designation desired; Prosci Certification a plus
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
  • Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills

Key Organizational Interfaces & Location

  • Reporting: Geospatial Digital Transformation Director, supported by Trimble’s Director of Change Management
  • Additional interfaces: VP of Survey and Mapping and Sr leadership team, Transformation strategy and execution leads, Trimble People Experience teams, Trimble horizontal teams
  • Job Location: Westminster, Colorado is preferred; all locations considered
  • Travel: To be determined post-covid, but some considerable time in the Westminster office will be required

This compensation range is based on a full time schedule.
