Cannabis Payroll Specialist Jobs

Viridian Staffing's (www.viridianstaffing.com) Client is looking for a Payroll Specialist who is obsessed with accuracy to join a fast-growing cannabis company in the Miami, Florida, area. This is a temporary 45-60 day position.

Founded in 2013, Viridian Staffing (www.viridianstaffing.com) is the Original staffing, recruiting, and HR consulting firm solely dedicated to organizations in and supporting the commercial, medical, and industrial cannabis / hemp industry.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to help support the organization's HR department through the administration and preparation of employee payroll and HR records in addition to maintaining personnel files related to HR, payroll, leave, and retirement programs. You also enjoy answering questions pertaining to HR and Payroll. In addition, you will do administrative tasks such as entering new hires, processing terminations, and preparing offer letters. This position also will assist with the facilitation of audits and providing reporting as requested.

You should have 3+ years of experience as a payroll specialist for a 250+ person company. Ideally, you will have knowledge of federal and FL state employment regulations. You have solid communication skills. The ideal candidate for this role must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and have excellent attention to detail, organization skills and the ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information. You must also be eligible to work for a licensed cannabis operation in the State of Florida. Bachelor's degree in an HR, Accounting or related discipline preferred.
