Job Details


We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team in the Construction Services industry. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and fast-paced organization that values its employees and offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the payroll process for our multi-state company and ensuring compliance with all tax laws and regulations.


Responsibilities


  • Keep up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact payroll processing
  • Work closely with HR to ensure accurate and timely processing of new hires, terminations, and changes to employee information
  • Manage the entire payroll process for our multi-state company, including processing payroll, reviewing payroll reports, and reconciling payroll accounts
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, including employee information, tax withholdings, and benefit deductions
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
  • Participate in special projects as needed
  • Assist with year-end payroll processing and reporting


Qualifications


  • Experience with in-house and 3rd party payroll software's
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • 2+ years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a multi-state environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
