General Summary....
The Business Process Specialist will be responsible for planning, organizing, executing, and maintaining the Labor Management program in collaboration with the Operations team to ensure the program meets the needs of the customer (both internal and external). The incumbent will partner with the operations team to ensure department resources are allocated appropriately, to confirm teammates are receiving regular performance feedback, and that key performance metrics and customer service level agreements are being met.
This position will be responsible for.....
  • Act as site level champion and work with corporate engineering on maintenance of Labor Management system including configuration and maintenance of productivity standards.
  • Communicate with hourly and salaried facility personnel to support above efforts.
  • Support operations team with performance coaching observations by coordinating schedule and triggered observations based on performance.
  • Support raining staff on the reporting and tracking of new teammate performance to the recommended ramp period.
  • Help improve teammate engagement by providing feedback on teammate performance, performing coaching observations, and monitoring the performance coaching database.
  • Develop tools/processes to support operations in areas such as labor planning, staffing, training schedules, performance coaching, accountability and incentive.
  • Assist the operations team in meeting established KPI's and SLA's as agreed upon by the customer.
  • Present analyses and solutions to customers and other team members.
  • Develop recommendations for process improvements and support the implementation of the recommendations while tracking annualized saving to meet targeted projections.
  • Review order profiles and product mix to support operational decisions and ensure it is in line with customer expectations.
  • Develop and run required labor management system reports for daily, weekly, and monthly tracking of individual and department level metrics.
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production activities by analyzing Labor Management data.
  • Analyze complex problems, recommend and implement solutions, and demonstrate excellent judgement in performing cost-benefit analyses.
Education/Experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills to all levels of management and customers.
  • Experience with Labor Management software strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a distribution or 3PL industry focusing on test and repair environments a plus.
  • Lean Green/Black belt a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Project, etc.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain or related field and 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
