As a Business Analyst, you will be trusted to manage business objectives and requirements that ensure enhanced end-user experience, meeting the high standards set by the customer. In this role, a typical day will include:


Data Analysis


  • Recommends fix processes and research methods for continuous quality improvements.
  • Analyze the impact of data quality problems and communicate findings to developers, analysts, and the user community.
  • Design and implement data quality assurance and quality control procedures for the client.
  • Extracts, manipulates, and interprets data from various sources to understand identified data quality issues.


Reporting


  • Communicates findings and solutions, and works collaboratively with stakeholders, client and GDIT team to prioritize data quality initiatives.
  • Test and analyze business rules for data processing and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Generates and updates monthly reports and release notes.


Identifying Requirements


  • Analyzes business requirements and production specifications for changes made to technology applications (i.e impact of data warehouse release, Tableau server updates, etc.)
  • Determines system requirements and communicates them using specifications, project plans, training manuals, or other forms of documentation.
  • Develops and documents user profiles for internal and external end-users, including providing/revoking permissions.


System Support


  • Develops and implements modifications and enhancements.
  • Provides technical support for systems by responding to inquiries, ensuring processes run smoothly, troubleshooting issues, and working to continuously improve the end-user experience.
  • Communicates issues and resolution timely to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Serves as an analytics resource to the organization, offering expertise on systems and data output.


Required Skills


  • 1+ years of experience capturing requirements
  • 1+ years of business processes and business analysis experience in a system engineering or software application environment
  • 1+ years of experience working with business processes and re-engineering
  • 1+ years of experience capturing and writing user stories
  • Experience using JIRA, HP ALM, SharePoint and Confluence
  • Experience working in a Scrum or SAFe Agile environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Communications, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance and must have resided in the United States the last 3 of 5 years


Desired Skills


  • Healthcare Service or Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) agency experience
  • Works well as a team member in a fast-paced and often time-sensitive environment
  • Excellent knowledge of best practices and an understanding of industry trends and difficulties
  • Certified SAFe Agilist
  • Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to integrate information from multiple sources
  • Certified BA, Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), or certified PMI-PBA.
  • Ability to work independently and interact regularly with government and non-government stakeholders at multiple levels of authority
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical topics to management and non-technical audiences


The likely salary range for this position is $48,000 - $72,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
