Business Development Lead – North America Travel, Unilever Partnerships
Unilever Partnerships forges industry-changing, multi-faceted global partnerships with leaders in Hospitality, Travel, Industrial and Healthcare sectors, incorporating solutions under Unilever’s well-loved brands.
It is a Business Unit within a wider organization called Unilever International whose purpose is to serve demand white spaces that local Unilever companies / traditional Unilever retail business is unable to address, given the unique characteristics of these demand cells. The business is headquartered in Singapore, with operations and presence across the globe with existing distribution in more than 170 countries. The business marries the Scale of Unilever with the Agility and Entrepreneurship of a team that drives business with a Founder’s mindset. This position entails P&L Ownership and End-to-End management of Travel vertical in USA and Canada and reports into Head of North America - Unilever Partnerships. This is a highly entrepreneurial role involving business setup from scratch using ‘lean startup’ principles.
Who You Are and What You'll Do
Business Development
- Lead the x-functional team towards landing the deal and ensuring smooth O2C flows are setup for routine management of acquired accounts.
- Develop T2T relationships with key decision-makers in each target Account, with key objective to land an anchor portfolio to begin the relationship journey with.
- Create and manage a Key Accounts funnel with all key Airline, Cruise-line, Rail and Road travel accounts in North America.
Travel RTM setup and Management
- Detail the channel landscape in North America, and appoint key channel partners.
- Develop Distributor Sales Rep (DSR) incentive program with channel partners to scale the business via push-pull model.
- Defining optimal servicing model for each target operator type.
P&L Ownership
- Pro-active P&L management: Topline, Bottom-line, Cash.
- Working closely with SC, Finance & R&D on cost-saving opportunities to improve Mix profitability.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Effective communicator with good financial acumen
- Hungry enough to have big ambition, foolish enough to constantly learn
- 4+ years of Business Development experience in B2B selling to Travel channels, preferably in non-food categories such as beauty / personal care / hygiene.
- Independent-minded Self-Starter
- “Can Do” attitude and result-orientation
- Hunting mindset to constantly ‘stay outside the building’ and understand customer pains & gains
Pay: The pay range for this position is $83,200 to $124,700. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
