Job Description

The ideal candidate is an integral part of our sales team whose primary purpose is to develop and maintain relationships with accounts within their territory. The Business Development Specialist reports to the Inside Sales Manager and oversees their sales territory.


Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Engage in up-selling/cross-selling other company products to prospects and customers.
  • Arrange visits and give sales presentations to customers and new prospects to increase sales.
  • Manage Sales Pipeline within your territory.
  • Submit RFQ’s to customers and prospects and follow up with accounts to win business.
  • Contacting prospective accounts to seek sales and opportunities to quote.
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities within your specific area and determine their potential.
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with new/existing customers.
  • Determine the most effective methods of engaging with customers and prospects (phone calls, e-mails, visits, etc.).
  • Willing to study and understand products, market conditions, competitive trends, and other developments within our market.
  • Understand customer’s needs and requirements within your territory.


Competency Requirements:

  • Familiar with ERP database systems
  • Strong oral/written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to make sales decisions using good judgment
  • Ability to work well with others as well as independently with minimum supervision
  • Prior experience in Industrial Sales a plus
  • Excellent people skills; team attitude

Salary based on experience:

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $28.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift


Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)


Experience:

  • Manufacturing Sales: 1 year (Preferred)


Work Location: In person
