Indianapolis Fruit has been delivering fresh fruits and vegetables to our valued retail partners throughout the Midwest since 1947. Opportunity To Execute And Improve The Following Areas
  • The Business Development Manager will grow Indy Fruit’s retail grocery segment, while building a platform that sells to independent retail grocers and distributor network throughout geographic territory.
  • This role will succeed by thinking outside-the-box through analytical skills, strategic planning, negotiation skills and attention-to-detail approach.
  • The right candidate must be able to communicate effectively in a professional manner through in-person conversation, phone calls, email, virtual meetings, and instant messaging.
  • Remote role with required 80% travel between company/customer sites in Cincinnati, Columbus, Louisville, Pittsburg, and St. Louis.
  • Solicit, evaluate, and advocate for customer product and feature requests to improve offerings and service on existing and prospect accounts.
  • Efficiently develop, while collaborating with the Sales Team, strategic business plans to penetrate the specific retail grocery accounts.
  • In this role the successful candidate will become an essential leader, responsible to create a business that delivers to the corporate objectives.
Competencies, Education, And Skills To Be Successful
  • Proficient PC skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and common E Mail systems
  • At least 1 year of Retail Grocery Channel
  • Valid identification or driver’s license (if appropriate)
  • Ability to work closely with others in a team environment and independently
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience Conceptual Selling
  • At least 1 year of Customer-Team Experience
Compensation Structure
  • Base salary + Commission + Bonus (Potential yearly between $70,000 - $100,000)
