Job Description
Key Responsibilities:


  • Identify external preclinical and clinical opportunities.
  • Conducts complex scenario planning to proactively provide analysis and recommendations on alternative plans, along with the associated assumptions and risks
  • Establish and execute the Geneleap’s BD strategy
  • Develop and maintain an expert understanding of the scientific and asset landscape and competitive intelligence to ensure visibility to emerging opportunities and changes in the environment.
  • Lead technical and commercial due diligence of potential deals to enable high quality decision making.
  • Develops plans, budgets, goals, and logistics for projects, gaining cooperation and consensus
  • Build a strong external network in mRNA/oligo nucleotide field including with both biopharma and academic.
  • Work with legal, finance and other departments and lead the deal process, including structuring deals, negotiating with potential partners and etc..


Basic Qualifications:


  • 10+ years of experience in the Pharmaceutical Industrial R&D
  • Experience in biotech or pharma R&D stage business development with meaningful experience in deal structuring and negotiations
  • Excellent communications skills
  • MS in science or related field, MBA degree is preferred but not required
  • Proof of record on success license in/out deals
  • Proficient biopharma commercial/market awareness with good understanding of key drivers that underpin commercial assessments and valuations
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with high level of agility.
  • Strong skills in representing business cases and driving timely and smart decisions across complex internal and external organizations
  • Broad knowledge of all aspects of the pharmaceutical R&D process from early discovery through to marketed products
