Elektrofi is a biologics formulation company focusing on the subcutaneous delivery of proteins. We deliver ultra-high concentration doses of proteins using our proprietary microparticle technology. This technology will expand access to biologics by replacing the traditional hours-long intravenous infusion required for most proteins with a rapid subcutaneous injection that can be self-administered at home. We are headquartered in Boston, MA.
Position summary
Elektrofi is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our biotech company full-time as a Manager/Senior Manager, Business Development and Alliance Management to support the development of the novel Elektrofi formulation platform.
Position Overview: As a Business Development and Alliance Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, researching, and engaging prospective partners to support the execution of definitive agreements throughout the partnering process. This role supports business development initiatives by securing strategic partnerships with pharmaceutical partners. Complimenting the BD responsibilities is proactive alliance management to ensure the partnerships continue to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute research that supports the business development strategy resulting in establishing new partnerships.
- Identify potential partnership opportunities by conducting market research and analyzing the competitive target landscape universe.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in target organizations, including business development, alliance management, R&D, and manufacturing teams.
- Collaborate with internal technical and scientific teams to develop customized proposals that address the specific needs of potential partners.
- Support negotiations of partnership agreements, ensuring alignment of objectives and successful outcomes for all parties.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support the successful implementation and execution of partnerships, including project management, legal, finance, and operations.
- Proactively lead the management of Elektrofi’s alliances to ensure partnerships continue to thrive.
- Monitor and analyze partnership performance, proactively identifying areas for improvement and driving continuous growth.
- Represent the company at select industry events and conferences, promoting our platform technology protein biologics formulation capabilities and fostering new relationships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s (BA/BS) degree in business, Life Sciences, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or PhD) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, or strategic partnerships within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully negotiating and executing agreements with pharmaceutical companies.
- Strong understanding of protein biologics formulation, development, and manufacturing processes.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of an organization.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, with a high degree of initiative and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
