Business Data Analyst Jobs

Summary
The job of the Business Data Analyst has a diverse scope of duties and responsibilities, reporting to the broader Institutional Equities team at Stifel, consisting of Sales, Trading and Research. Overview of job responsibilities will be to transform data from core sources into actionable insights across a variety of reporting and analytics platforms.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Analyzes business requirements and processes and recommends them to the management and executives for implementation.
• Identifies the development needs for the purpose of streamlining and improving the system operations of the organization for efficiency and profitability.
• Serves as a liaison between Institutional Equity senior management team members and the IT department.
• Collaborates with team members for the purpose of collecting data from unique sources and automating the input of that data to key sources.
• Provides reports through office applications such as Tableau, PowerBI and Excel to improve business processes.
• Creates and delivers regularly scheduled analyses for: a) Research performance metrics; b) Client engagement activity; c) Trading Activity.
• Develops and manages business intelligence solutions for the Equities group - Research, Sales & Trading.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability in creating business intelligence solutions.

• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work within a team as well as independently.

Education And Experience

• Minimum 1 year experience in direct analytics/reporting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Licenses and Credentials

• Minimum Required: None

Systems and Technology

• Prior experience using office applications such as Tableau and Power BI highly preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel VBA.
• Skilled in R and Python.
